Immersive Storytelling with Emerging Metaverse Technology

Challenge

In advance of its 25th anniversary, PTC Therapeutics wanted to create a way to celebrate culture and community while also reaching and engaging employees around the world. With a tremendous amount of content from a rich history, the challenge was to identify a provocative and cohesive way to spotlight moments and tell the story of growth and teamwork in delivering on the company’s mission to develop cell and gene therapies for rare disease.

 

Solution

We proposed a virtual museum experience in a customized metaverse environment to be launched globally to employee audiences at the company’s 25th anniversary. The virtual museum includes multiple spaces and rooms, arranged along a timeline that spans the history of the company, while telling a compelling story about team camaraderie and company progress over the years through collages, slideshows, videos and other featured content.Viewers can visit the metaverse museum at their leisure, see other employees who are in the space, interact with the content, and invite colleagues to join them in the virtual space.

 

Results

The unveiling to the communications team and leaders generated significant excitement for the content, platform, branded environment, and rich storyline, setting a promising tone for the forthcoming full rollout campaign.
